Wish List

My old wish list for the van is located here.

This page gets redone on occasion. Currently, we have a Class C RV, and I'm heading out to Vancouver in it ahead of my family starting in March 2015.

Here's what I need, as I am starting to get more or less realistic. (Probably not though)

Anything with links, is basically what I am considering. They're not affiliate links, and I don't get any money if you go there and buy them. The link is more there for me. However, if you would like to toss me enough for a coffee, let me know! I'd appreciate a cup of coffee! lol

The big ticket items that are permanent to the RV:
  • New Counter Tops - These have been ordered, and will sadly arrive after I leave, so I'll have to come back to Alberta for a visit unless I can get them shipped for very little cost.
  • Backsplash - We're looking into some nice backsplashes currently.
  • Painting the cupboards - We're thinking a nice light grey, with dark grey accents
  • LED Lighting - Out with the old, and in with the new (and power sipping)!
  • New flooring - That linoleum just must go!  I'm thinking about wood, and a friend gave me the great idea to use pallets! It actually looks great believe it or not.The best part is the pallets are free!
  • Upholstery - The upholstery has been updated, but it could use it again to suit our tastes.
  • Curtains - Currently, I have blinds in there, but those don't quite give a nice feeling of home, and don't really block out light well either. I'll keep the blinds (maybe update to something newer), but I want curtains as well.

In the entertainment area:

  • Battery Backup - The last thing I want, is inconsistent power killing my electronics. I use a laptop for a living, and I need to keep the power consistent. I also want to sit back and relax to a movie on occasion, and not have my computer open. I'll need a UPS for that. This is something I cannot stress enough if anyone is using a computer where the power is not exactly reliable.
  • Inverter? - I currently have an inverter built into the RV, but I don't know it's size, so I may have to replace it.
  • LCD Computer Monitor - I have my eye on one that is lightweight, and has an HDMI port built in.
  • Wall mounted swivel - I'm probably going to want to watch movies while cooking dinner, so I'll need to move the screen around! I'll have to look into what works best.
  • Apple TV - It's small, doesn't take a lot of power, and I can hook up to WiFi to watch NetFlix.
  • AirPort Extreme - The Apple TV will be great in the WiFi connected areas, but useless outside them. I also want to be able to watch movies I have on my external drive while away from WiFi. This takes care of that issue, and will let me leave the RV and watch outside on a nice evening on my MacBook Pro since it has some pretty awesome range. (I have an App that allows me to connect to my network from my Apple devices and watch video.)
  • Speakers - Can't have a TV running, and not hear anything! I have the surround area to potentially have 5.1 surround. I will need something low profile, so it's not in the way.
  • WifiRanger - Given that I have issues currently with getting a signal properly, this is on my list. It's changed quite a bit since I last looked at it, and the price has tripled as it's now a custom built device. From what I have read about it on other Full-time blogs, it's worth every penny. Now to get it as soon as I can..
I'm still thinking up other things, and I'm sure I'll add to this list, but for now, here's what I have! Enjoy the ideas, and if you have any, let me know!
