I have the RV!

My wife ended up having to work late on Friday due to the Home and Garden show going on, so I ended up not being able to pick up the RV. So we got it today after she was done at the show. I'm super excited to have it, and start getting it ready to be home! Sadly, my countertops will not be ready in time for me to leave (but I can hope!).

Getting ideas for the renovations

Today, while I had to be out of the house while it was being shown (it's for sale), I went to Rona and had a look at a few things. Earlier in the morning when I dropped my wife off at work, we had a look at some swatches for the countertops. Grabbed a couple, and then when at Rona, I was looking for a backsplash that would go nicely with the future counters.

Picking up the RV this Friday!

The time is fast approaching. I have 14 days until I leave for Vancouver. Originally, i was looking at the possibility of needing to wait until March 2nd to pick up the RV after the final cheque clears. My wife suggested that I ask to see if it would be possible to pick up sooner. I had my doubts, as technically, I won't fully own the RV until that last cheque clears and I would be hesitant to hand over something without being fully paid for it as well...

Date for the move has been set!

Getting back to the purpose of this blog, my work adjusted my move date for me in order to allow adjustment due to the circumstances that happened with two deaths within a week of each other in my family.

They were thinking about allowing me to move out anytime in March that I felt would be good. I need a good distraction and moving closer to where my clients are as well as family, I'm moving in the first weekend of March.

Working things out

It's been two weeks since my sister passed away, and less than a week since my grandfather passed away as well. I tell ya, these types of things are what really make you thing about what is going on in your life, and what is important.

When it rains, it pours...

We just left my parents yesterday after spending a week with them after my sisters death. I just got a message from my mom that my grandfather passed away an hour ago. Two deaths in my family within a week of each other... Wow.
