Onward!

After what was actually a pretty good sleep in Kamloops, it's time for me to hit the road again. I was surprised that spending the night at a travel centre was so peaceful. I'm in between the highway and train tracks, but neither bothered me one bit. it could have something to do with being so tired.

I was able to plug in for the night, and even get the furnace going to keep me warm as the temperature was supposed to drop to 0C overnight. I was quite comfortable, and the furnace isn't very loud. most the noise is the fan, and it's pretty quiet.

When I woke up this morning, I initially thought to myself that I must have slept in very late, but it was only 9am, so I'm off to a good start! Daylight Savings Time kicked in last night, so it was basically 10am. the one great thing about this move happening this weekend is that while everyone else is losing an hour of sleep, I'm staying on the same time schedule. I gained an extra hour by moving to BC, and the time change took that extra hour away. Essentially, they cancelled each other out, and I'm unaffected!

I went out for a walk this morning and took a couple pictures. It's so amazing that an hour and a half drive east, I took a picture of forest, lake, and mountains. Today, I share with you a very different landscape. Desert.

Two more hours west of Kamloops and I will be back in forests and mountains. I love this province and its striking differences.
